Tasty Thursday

So yesterday I told you all that today we would have a guest blogger, and something sweet. And that's exactly what you're getting!

Without further ado - drumroll, please! - let's welcome our model, Addy, to the blog!!!

Oh my gosh! Hi everyone! I can hardly believe I'm writing this...but after three pinches, I'm pretty sure it's real!

Today I'm hosting Tasty Thursday, and I wish to begin by making a point.

Humans never feed us. Ever.

True, we don't require sustenance, but it tastes awesome!
Sometimes you throw little tea parties for us. However, it's only water or juice, and the HUMANS drink it!
Speaking for dolls everywhere, I think you all could be a little more thoughtful.

The only thing this post is good for is if humans take my point to heart. If not, you might as well stop reading.

I got Paige to let me bake a cake this afternoon. And not just any old cake. If I get to eat only once or twice a year, I want it to be good! So I made a DOLL SIZED, Death by Chocolate Cake. ♥

I know you want to make one too, for your dolls. Or, then again, you might want it in adult size. Either way, you'll need to know what I did. :-)

To start, you will need a chocolate cake mix and round cake pan.

Spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray, and mix the cake following the directions on the back. (Paige huffed and said that she would have made one from scratch, but I'd rather take the easy way out since I'm never in the kitchen!)

After I poured the batter into the pans, I sprinkled the top with mini chocolate chips. Mmmm!

Then I baked the cake. When it was done, I took it out of the oven and left it on a wire rack to cool. After ten minutes, I took the cake out of the pan and left it to finish cooling on a wire rack. When it came time to "carve" the cake, I began by leveling off the top (I had a bit of a volcano look going on).

Then I sliced along the middle of the remaining cake. Separating the layers, I filled the center with store-bought cream cheese frosting (Paige said store-bought icing is another no-no that I committed in her kitchen today, hehe).

I stacked the top layer back on, and the began to frost with chocolate frosting (my favorite). It took me awhile to get it as smooth as I wanted. And then I accidentally jabbed it once or twice. (You would too if your hands were perpetually stuck in a cupped position! It's not easy to do human things)

Then it was time to decorate (yummy!)!!!

I lined the outside edge of the cake with semi-sweet chocolate chips, and then I drizzled chocolate sauce and caramel sauce over the top.
At first, I was upset when the chocolate dripped down the sides of the cake. But then I realized it just made my mouth water all the more!

Here are the pics:

My favorite part was tasting!

I hope you all enjoyed this post!!!

Paige said she wanted to leave a comment or two at the end, but her mom says it's time for bed, so we have to go RIGHT NOW. Hehe. She'll say it tomorrow. :-)

Thanks for stopping by!
