Crafty Thursday

I don't have a lot of time today and I haven't been feeling all that great. Nevertheless, I saw these craft ideas on pinterest and just knew I had to blog about them.

Everyone knows Memorial Day has just passed, especially if you read Paige's post last week. Also Flag Day is coming up next week, and Fourth of July is coming up fast.
Here's a creative way to show your patriotic spirit:
Starlight Luminaries

The materials are:
  • Collage Pauge Instant Decoupage (which is just a fancy name for a water-resistant glue, sealer, and finish. You can find this at crafting stores such as Joanns)
  • Foil
  • Wire
  • Scissors
  • Wax paper
  • Tissue paper or light card stock : red, white, and blue
  • Glass Mason Jars
  • Plastic

Drop Cloth Tent
This one I just lved. My sisters like to make forts and having one that's sort of permanent would be great. This one costs a little bit, but not much. It would be around $40. Also it would need to built, but if your handy with tools, it shouldn't be a problem. This website has the layout and all the tools and materials you would need.

This one's really cute:
Drive-in Movie Car

If your child or younger sibling lve to pretend, then this one's perfect.
You don't have to use it for a stay at home outdoor movie night (which i think would be really cool though). You could make it just to pretend with.

Here's some more pictures as it's being built:

Really simple but really fun to put together with your child or sibling.

How many of you like birds?
Terra Cotta Birdbath
I simply lve birds. I've been wanting a bird bath for awhile now and this one just caught my eye. So easy to do and you can make it in style you want.
The materials you would need are:
  • 3 terra cotta pots ~ 14", 12", and 10"
  • a 16" terra cotta saucer
  • You can also add a 6" terra cotta saucer on the top to add bird seed

Okay everyone knows about angry birds. Well here's a super cool way to play it outdoors! :D
